Oregon Fire Opal Facet Rough Sales: We presently offer our rough material for your hobby or commercial cutting, and resellers are welcome to contact us about dealer opportunities. All of the rough material we sell has been stabilized for six months or more (most has been cured for over a year) at 4,500 foot elevation and very low humidity. The pieces we sell have often been sawn to remove all flaws and significant inclusions. Most are completely clean and ready to dop! The stones we sell should remain stable in almost any environment as long as they are not subjected to temperature shock or physical abuse. We routinely ship our material to China for cutting, and we do not experience injury to the stones from pressure or temperature change inside aircraft cargo holds. Supplies permitting, we will ship a few sample pieces of rough that will cut jewelry-sized gems to those who send us a written request and a check to cover shipping and handling ($10.00). Contact Ken Newnham directly to arrange details. Facet Opal Price List: Prices below are for material in sizes from 5 carats to over 25 carats. These are all cobbed / sawed clean and ready to dop. Larger, collector stones are available in sizes up to 100 carats or more, and are priced individually. Please e-mail for information. The Juniper Ridge mine also produces rough opal in sizes up to 6 Kilos.
